A 660cc inline three-cylinder engine with 81.6 horsepower and 41.4 lb-ft of torque powers the 2022 Triumph Trident 660 and power is transmitted to a chain final drive through a six-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch.

Triumph provides traction control with a dedicated offsetting, three separate riding modes (Rain, Road, and Sport), and an optional up/down quickshifter. A set of four-piston radial calipers biting on dual 310mm front discs and ABS support these electronic aids. A single 255mm disc is gripped by the Nissin caliper, which is hydraulically operated, for assistance with stopping power. If you decide to chase canyons in your new vehicle, switchable cornering ABS is also available.

The Trident 660 is supported by 41mm conventional forks up front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock with 7 inches of travel at the rear. It rides on 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels with Metzeler Racetec RR tires (120/70 front, 180/55 rear). There is plenty of room to slide around before striking the pavement below, thanks to the running ground clearance of 5 inches and curb weight of 403 pounds wet (full tank of fuel included).

Alternatively, if you’d rather keep the rubber side down, you may use it to evaluate your lean angle.
