The 2023 BMW R 1250 RT is powered by a two-cylinder air-/fluid cooled four-stroke boxer engine with two overhead spur-gear driven camshafts, one balancer shaft, and BMW ShiftCam variable intake camshaft control. The engine specs include a bore x stroke of 4” x 3”, a capacity of 1,254 ccs, and a nominal capacity of 136 HP at 7,750 rpm, while the max torque is 105 lbs-ft at 6,250 rpm. It also has a wet clutch with an anti-hopping function and a six-speed helical synchromesh gearbox.
